What is the difference between sports electric motorcycles
May 13, 2021

Why do you need to use a central motor for sports electric motorcycles? ? ?

There are two main types of motors for electric motorcycles. One is the central motor and the other is the hub motor. As the name suggests, the central motor is to place the motor in the middle of the vehicle. The hub motor is to install the motor inside the drum barrel of the wheel. Used for comparison

So what is the difference between these two motors? ?

One different: different driving methods

The hub motor is usually installed inside the hub drum of the rear wheel, and the coil is directly installed inside the wheel. After the power is turned on, the motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy, which drives the rear wheel to rotate, thereby driving the vehicle forward. Simple and crude but effective.

The central motor usually drives the rear wheels through a chain or gear drive to drive the entire vehicle forward. Normally, a central motor with the same power can amplify the output torque with the help of a mechanical structure.

Difference 2: Different heat dissipation efficiency

Because the wheel hub motor is directly mounted on the wheel, some heat will inevitably be generated during the operation of the motor. Due to the tire package on the outside, when the temperature rises to a certain level, the motor will continue to "lower frequency" when it continues to run In other words, the speed cannot be improved, so the electric motor with a wheel hub motor usually cannot be high speed for too long, and is not suitable for long-distance operation. All in all, the deluxe version of the Z1 has not only changed the driving method, but also the difference of the vehicle's omnidirectional and stereoscopic. As for the real feeling, it is only more convincing to test drive by yourself.
