How to alleviate the problem that the battery is not durable in winter
May 13, 2021

1. Properly extend the charging time

Even if the color of the charger turns green when charging, it can be charged for another 1-2 hours. However, the charging time should not be too long. Over discharge and overcharge will cause damage to the battery, especially overcharge, which will reduce the battery's storage capacity.

2. Reduce braking and restart

Because the weather is relatively cold, if you increase the throttle or brake frequently, the current of the battery will increase, which will accelerate the consumption of the battery.

3. Avoid low temperature charging

At low temperatures, charging is slower, so it is recommended that you “charge when you use it up” when the winter temperature is low, and charge the vehicle in time after use. At this time, the battery temperature is relatively high, which can improve the charging efficiency.

4. Pay attention to the power supply sequence

When charging, first insert the battery and then the power; when it is full, first cut off the power and then unplug the battery. If the sequence is reversed, the battery or charger may be burned out.

5. Do not shelve it for a long time

If you don’t ride an electric motorcycle for a long time, you should also make sure to replenish your electricity at least once a month to avoid power loss.
